Events and art through the lenses of agile authors | Results of last year’s photo contest

The Rallye Český Krumlov is not just a competition of competing crews for tenths of seconds on the stages. Every year, hundreds of spectators stand along the road with cameras or mobile phones in their hands, trying to capture the best possible shot. Whether for a souvenir, social media or a reportage gallery. The traditional photo competition, announced on the occasion of the 51st Rallye Český Krumlov in 2024, involved both amateur and accredited photographers. In order to make it fair, the jury composed of members of the organizing committee of the South Bohemian event decided to announce both groups separately.

In the AMATEUR category, there were a total of 53 entries from 11 photographers. The 1st place prize goes to an action photo of Karel Trojan’s Škoda Fabia R5 on the jump behind Malčí, taken by an Instagram user with the nickname dvd.stpn. The successful author receives a cash prize of 500 CZK. The jury selected and awarded one more amateur photographer – Petr Novohradský. The second place went to his photo from the night passage of Jan Kopecký through the Rožmitál speed test. The same author then submitted a picture of a diesel fabia of the local pilot Miroslav Čabaj. He can look forward to promotional items of the Rallye Český Krumlov.

In the PROFI category, which is intended for accredited photographers, Eda Suchý, who promptly captured a fallen Peugeot 208 R2 wheel at the České Budějovice Exhibition Centre, receives a financial reward of CZK 500. We have also prepared promotional items for two other award-winning authors – Petr Šulčík and Jan Šmerda.

Congratulations to everybody!
